Back in 1992 well known Dunmore East hotelier Charlie Boland had a vision of bringing golf to the picturesque County Waterford fishing village. The premise of the very first Dunmore East Golf Classic was to bring golfers of all levels to the sunny South East to compete on some of the country’s most prestigious golf courses.
With the hard work and enthusiasm of Charlie’s son, Tony, who took over the reigns in 2010 and the dedicated Discover Dunmore team, the Dunmore East Golf Classic has grown progressively and is proud to be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2012.
From April 30th to May 3rd visitors from Ireland, the UK and further afield will have the opportunity to play on some of Waterford’s renowned golf courses, including Dunmore East, Waterford Castle, Tramore and Faithlegg Golf Courses.

From the striking sea views of Dunmore East golf club which overlooks the stunning Dunmore Bay and Hook Head in Co. Wexford to Ireland’s only true island golf resort, the Des Smyth designed Waterford Castle golf club, the locations are guaranteed to challenge and captivate golfers of all levels.
